I thought it might be interesting to compile some good holidays with kids. Before I start I want to make it clear that this is not in any way an advert, or a sponsored post. I just wanted to post about a great holiday that I think will appeal to a lot of our audience.
Pre children I had never been on a holiday like this and would have considered it not to be my thing, in fact at first some of elements of it freaked me out a bit (reps dancing around the pool and various activities) but seeing how much the kids LOVED it, you soon forget about all of the things that you wouldn’t have dreamed of pre children and embrace it! Happy kids = happy parents.
We have done several of these holidays from when the kids were younger up to a couple of years ago. We have been as a family of four and I have taken the children alone. Each holiday has been great!
So these holidays are hotel based, in a beautiful setting, all inclusive, the food and drink is great, they have really good activities and/or clubs for the children. When they were younger we didn’t use the clubs but they dipped in and out of activities, when they were a bit older they wanted to do what their friends were doing. Sam playing football and Lily at circus school! Yes my little girl went up on a trapeze!! Chances are you may not leave the complex.
The staff are VERY involved. The first time you experience this it may feel a bit cringey but you soon get used to it and it is upbeat and the children really like it!
Also I should say that these can be pretty active healthy holidays, if you want them to be. They have an array of classes, sports and activities for adults if you want, equally if you want to do nothing except raise a cocktail to your lips, you can. I actually like a mixture of the two. A class a day means I can eat and drink what I like!
They aren’t the cheapest of holidays but if you are not restricted to school holidays you can get a good deal. Also there are several different ratings of resort which also affects the price. It goes without saying that during the school summer holidays it is at its most expensive. I got a great tip from someone that was to be flexible about the airport you fly from and you can save quite a bit on your holiday, for example flying from Scotland as they have different school holidays (this would mean an internal flight first but can still be well worth it).
What the kids say… Sam age 11 “it is good because you can get drinks whenever you want and there are loads of good activities throughout the day to get you involved and active. Every night they perform different shows from musicals to acrobatics.”
Lily, age 8 “I like it because we always make friends and I really liked doing the trapeze. The food is really yummy too!”

Have you been on a holiday with your kids that you really rate? We would love to hear.
