My mama essentials…
When you have a baby you might find that certain things in your wardrobe become redundant or certainly get a lot less use. Comfort and practicality moves up the list. Little things that you might not have thought about are more difficult like holding an umbrella while you are pushing a pram or holding a toddlers hand or having hands free so needing a cross body bag.
Here are some of of my mama essentials…
Rucksack changing bag
We love… Tiba & Marl. A rucksack changing bag allows you to be hands free to look after your little one, while having plenty of room to cart around all of the essentials. Tiba & Marl rucksacks are super stylish changing bags. We love the black with gold hardwear. Still using it with Daisy age 2. I was pregnant in this pic and have used ever since! You can get 15% off any order over £100 using code MD15.
A cross body handbag
We love…. Lottie and Floss. A cross body bag means you are hands free but have the your purse and phone, keys (other essentials) close to hand. Perfect for if you are just popping out and not taking a changing bag. They have a massive range of colours from bright to metallic, beautiful quality leather at a great price and we love the straps (choose from anything from leopard to stripes). You can get 10% off using code MAMA10. www.lottieandfloss.com
We love…. Air & Grace are off the scale comfy and this is from someone who has worn a lot of trainers over the years. Whether you are pounding the pavements pushing your baby to sleep or running around the park after your toddler these are perfect. Team with everything from a dress, to jeans or shorts. Our favourites are the classic white with metallic or the newly launched coral and green. https://airandgracelondon.com/
A waterproof jacket
I learnt early on that holding an umbrella and doing anything with a baby or toddler is virtually impossible. Also worth considering that if it is raining… as is often the case in the UK, your toddler will still want to go for a walk.
We love… Protected Species. New kid on the block and put quite simply in their words “rainwear, reinvented” these are waterproofs that will mean you won’t mind the rain. You can get 20% off with code MD20 at checkout. https://www.protected-species.com/shop/
Sweatshirt is definitely mum-uniform and although yes it is summer, as we well know, it will not always be warm! We love the pink D sweatshirt from Disko Kids. Their sale starts today!
These gingham trousers from Ost London are in our Mama essential uniform. They are gingham (yay!) go with so many things, are super lightweight and comfortable. You can get 20% off everything at Ost using code MAMMA20 (they also have lots of gorgeous dresses that will cover bump and beyond).
Beyond Nine jumpsuits do exactly what the name says, take you from pregnancy to beyond. I still wear mine without a bump and they are super comfy.
Savannah Jumpsuit in Rose linen is my pic for the summer £115.
