I thought I would do a little round up of some of the independent brands that I love (and have worn myself) which work for pregnancy, breastfeeding and beyond.
Daughters of India – is a gorgeous Australian brand (they ship pretty quickly to the UK as well) they have a selection of the most beautiful floaty dresses with plenty of room for a bump and most styles will easily allow you to breastfeed. These are dresses that you will treasure for years. Easy to wear and care for and just stunning. Every time I wear mine I receive compliments on it. Here are some of my favourite styles. The Prairie dress would be ideal for breastfeeding and the other two styles pictured for pregnancy and breastfeeding. You can use code mamadesigns15 for 15% off.
Beyond Nine is a gorgeous brand that I discovered when I was pregnant. Their cotton jersey dungarees were well worn through my pregnancy, feeding journey and I still wear them loads now as they are probably one of the most comfortable items in my wardrobe. I absolutely love their boiler suits too and everything is designed for “beyond nine” months, hence the name!
Natal Active creates exercise wear for pre and post natal mums. Leggings in pregnancy are an easy one to throw on, whether you plan on getting active or not! Everything is super soft and comfy and we love their big hoodie too.
Clary and Peg create vintage inspired maternity and breastfeeding friendly clothes that can be worn way beyond. I absolutely love everything they do. These pieces will be worn way beyond baby. I am loving the pink dungarees!
Tilbea is another lovely independent brand creating bump and breastfeeding friendly clothes with lots of leopard print options. I wore their red leopard print dress to my baby shower and have v fond memories of it!
Mumba Bra was my most comfortable feeding bra and I highly recommend these. Don’t forget your bamboo breast pads.
Mamascarf is a great addition if you want to pull your top or dress up or down and have a bit of privacy to feed. Added bonus is that it helps to support the baby!
